Home to the state's most popular four year college is the Western Washington University Neighborhood. In the fall of 2005 there were more than 13,000 students enrolled here.
The WWU campus houses over 3,800 students, although thousands more live in the surround residential homes and apartments. The university is one of the largest employers in the area having more than 1,500 employees. The campus continues to grow with a new recreation center as well as the new communication building.
