Meridian neighborhood is one of the central shopping districts of Bellingham. Featuring Bellis Fair, restaurants, plaza malls and other large stores such as Home Depot, Pier 1 and Barnes and Noble, this area is a hub of activity. There is an excellent combination of local stores and big name stores to cover all your shopping needs. The Meridian neighborhood was originally the commercial core of the Guide Meridian neighborhood, and became its own neighborhood in 1995 after years of growth.
Meridian is home to two of the cities main traffic arteries: Guide Meridian Street and Bakerview. The Guide Meridian is the main North/South road that leads to the northern part of the county and to Canada. Bakerview is a major East/West artery that has seen lots of growth with new condominiums, townhouses and shopping areas.
