The Guide Meridian Neighborhood is currently one of Bellinghams neighborhoods with the most room for expansion. The neighborhood is growing largely to the North where many retail chains have opened up shop such as Costco, Wal Mart, and Best Buy.
In the residential realm it has been an area of much construction in the recent years, with many new Condominium Complexes and apartments being built. On the northern edge of the neighborhood there are also new single family homes being built along, Meadowboork and Bedford Ave.
